About Me
My love of the garden began from a young age, when my parents bought a piece of land. My dad built the house that I grew up in. My mum and I spent hours visiting nurseries choosing plants for the bare space that wrapped around the house. The garden became a beautiful retreat with a rockery, herb garden, an abundance of roses and a vegetable patch. It was fabulous to witness its transformation. I knew the name of every plant in that garden at the age of 8.
I guess this set the foundations for my love of plants and in my mid-twenties, after a stretch working in the City of London for an International bank - so not me, I decided to re-train as an Aromatherapist. It was brilliant to know that plants not only look and smell gorgeous but they can heal too. Emotionally and physically.
My love of plants and gardens grew and grew. I realised that I wanted to work outdoors and help people to get the most from their outdoor spaces, whether that be a courtyard, a balcony, an urban garden or a 10 acre piece of land.
I spent the next 5 years studying to be a Garden Designer at Capel Manor. Gaining RHS diplomas that lead onto Garden Design Level 3 certificates in ‘Plants and Planting design’ and ‘The Principles and Practices of Garden Design’.
I am now running my own garden design studio based in Enfield, North London and loving every minute.
